OUR SERVICES AND REFERRALS

At Rocky Mountain Foot and Ankle Center, we evaluate and treat all foot and ankle pathology. This includes the simplest cutting and reduction of difficult toenails and calluses, to surgical reconstruction of major foot and ankle fractures and deformities.

We offer state-of-the-art technology for the diagnosis and treatment of many foot and ankle conditions. We offer the PADnet screening for the diagnosis of peripheral arterial disease, as well as laser technology for the treatment of onychomycosis (nail fungus).

 

We perform many office procedures, the most common being removal of ingrown toenails, warts, and lesion biopsies. Small children (usually under the age of 5-7) may require a trip to the operating room to perform even the most minor of procedures, both for their comfort and our ability to use an anesthesiologist to assist with young patient coopereration.

Most of our surgical procedures (bunionectomy, hammertoe repair, open fracture reduction, diabetic limb salvage surgery) are performed at either Exempla Lutheran Medical Center, Lutheran Outpatient Surgical Center, or Presbyterian/St. Luke's. Our doctors maintain staff priveleges at nearly every hospital in the Denver Metro Area, but the volume of our practice requires our procedures to be performed at the nearest facilities, and only those that maintain the highest standards and quality of care.

 

We cast for, and prescribe custom foot orthotics. Some insurances cover these devices (depending on the diagnosis) and many patients find they can cover the cost using their flexible spending plans. We also offer a remarkable prefabricated device (sold only through podiatrist's offices) for $40 dollars, for those patients with minimal pathology, or who need orthotics, but aren't prepared to cover the cost of the custom devices.
